Scout Service Award 2020

The Scouts and Culture Education Division, Department of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education is pleased to announce that application for the Scout Service Award 2020 from Scout Leaders is now open. Unit Leaders eligible for Bronze, Silver and Gold category award as specified in the Scout Service Award criteria may submit applications to your school Scout Association for verifications and recommendations and forward to Dzongkhag/Thromde Scouts Association. The Dzongkhag/Thromde Scout Association should select the one most deserving leaders in each category and submit to BSA on or before 15th December 2019. BSA will accept only one nominee in each category from Dzongkhag/Thromde and submit to National Level Scout Award Committee comprising of Division Chiefs from Teacher Professional Support Division, Education Monitoring Division, Human Resource Division, and Scout Division. The National Level Scout Award Committee will be chaired by the Director General of the Department of Youth and Sports and make final endorse awardees. The medals will be awarded on the 21st of February coinciding with the 40th Birth Anniversary of Druk Gyalpo and 6th National Scout’s Day Celebration.

The Scout Award System has been instituted by the Scout Division to acknowledge and recognize our Scout Leaders for their outstanding services and achievement in the field of scouting. The Scout Division will introduce other category of Awards for Scouts and Leaders in future.
